Alright, people. I know that you all don't agree with my hyphen. I'm not asking you to agree with it. I'm asking you to respect it and respect me. My last name is Miller-Corcoran. Just because I have a different camping parts does not mean I lost my identity when I got married.

It is the 21st century. I refuse to live my life like it is 1942 and try to fit into someone's idea of what a wife is. I was raised by a very strong people who knew who they were and never falter from that. My grandmother is the most amazing woman to ever grace this planet. She knows who she is and is confident in herself. She raised her children to be the same way and consequently you have me. I will never give up the Miller in me. It's not all semantics. It's the most important thing I have.

So, please, the next time you address an envelope to me address it to Mrs. Kate Miller-Corcoran. And never call me Mrs. Nick Corcoran unless you plan on calling him Mr. Kate Miller.

Fieldwork!!

I received a phone call yesterday from my professor asking me if I wanted to do my fieldwork placement for this upcoming semester in a threes room! When I heard her message I skipped around the house, screaming.

I have not been this psyched since I got my acceptance letter from Capital University in 1997. I cannot wait. I. cannot. wait!!! Can I start tomorrow? Can I? Can I just go sit in the classroom and soak it all in?!!!

Today is a great day. Today is beautifully filled with the loves of my life. My dad, my inlaws, my family of friends for juan's birthday. The family of friends that is extending. The beautiful people. so happy!

and what? did you say that the Freaking NY Giants are in the NFC Championship playoffs? You DID!? I am still pooping my pants from last week. I can't believe it. Really. How in the HELL did that happen? I'll tell you: my NY Giants are scrappy mother f*^ckahs! yup. yup yup yup! can't wait. they have a very slim chance of beating Brett Favre and Emily's GB Packers. at Lambeau Field. When it's negative seven. But the M-C Lites don't care... we're just happy they'll be there!! ha HOOO!!!

so today i realized that my nickname, KMC is like news channel call letters. if I did have a news channel it would be dedicated to happy news. good deeds done throughout the world and things you could do to make it a better place. maybe that's what i'll make this blog into.
